Main responsibilities

Job Overview:  Our client, an established manufacturer of plastic products has retained our services to search for a Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding team.  

Overview:

• As a Maintenance Engineer your primary responsibility is the proactive & reactive electro-mechanical maintenance of machines, ancillaries, jigs & fixtures, materials handling equipment and general facilities maintenance.
• You will work be used to working independently in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.
• This is a days’ role, however some flexibility is required.

Qualifications/experience required

Expectations / experience:

• You must have current or prior experience with plastics, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• You must be 16^th, 17^th or 18^th edition certified in electrical, or hold equivalent electrical engineering qualifications
• Knowledge of 3 phase power systems
• Motor and gearbox awareness
• Ability to read and understand schematics
• Experience of compressed air and vacuum systems
• You will have a good mechanical application and experience / working understanding with hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• Diligent and able to work to deadlines
• PC literate and have good clear communication skills
