Main responsibilities

Job Overview: Retained by our client, we are looking to strengthen their manufacturing team with the appointment of a CNC Programmer

As CNC Programmer you will be ideally experienced in 3 5 axis machines and have worked with FANUC or HAAS controls (but other programs will be considered) and SOLIDWORKS CAM experience. This is an exciting position for someone who is keen to join a stable, forward-thinking company where they can learn and develop their skills further.

Role:

• CNC Programming
• Operate all machines within the section
• Work closely with the design team and other teams advising on suitability of designs for manufacture
• 1st off inspection and operator quality assessment as required.
• A good understanding of cutters, speeds and feeds for each process
• A good understanding of limits, fits and tool build up principles

Qualifications/experience required

Experience:

• Previous experience with programming on FANUC & HAAS controls
• Fully trained with proven expertise
• Ability to work to engineering drawings and 3D models
• Experience of setting / operating / milling and turning – mainly FANUC and HAAS controls
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen and 5S
• Able to work as part of a team and to own initiative
