Main responsibilities

Job Overview: Retained by our injection moulding business partner we are looking for a Tooling Cost Estimator to join their established team. You will produce Injection Mould Tooling quotations in line with company procedures.

Suitability:

This exciting new post will suit either a Technical Sales Engineer, a Costing Engineer, a Mechanical Estimator or a Design Engineer applicant with good Toolmaking experience gained with plastic injection moulding manufacturing or mechanical component production, converting RFQ’s, acquiring & collating the costs for materials, manpower, cost of tooling and lead times for presenting to the Sales Manager, and eventually bidding for the work with the customer.

Qualifications/experience required

Requirements:

• Experience in injection mould tool design and manufacture
• Must be able to read and analyse technical drawings and 3D CAD Data.
• Excellent understanding of time and costs related to injection mould tooling
• Good English language skills – verbal & written communications
• Must be confident to learn, understand and engage with customer and supplier organisations
• Have a good attention to detail working application
• Good experience of MS Word, Excel, Project and CAD software
• Must have a good engineering aptitude
• Self motivated, and able to work without direct supervision
• Proactive & Customer focussed
