Main responsibilities

Job Overview: One of our business partners, a successful company with extensive facilities, are seeking an Electro-mechanical Engineer to join their team.

Overview:

• As an Electro-Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs and refurbishment to mechanical, electrical and equipment. 
• You will have strong electrical/mechanical applications with proven experience of problem solving, fault finding and repairing of manufacturing machinery, including pumps and motors.
• The successful candidate should have current or prior experience with maintaining or servicing in Injection or blow moulding equipment

Responsibilities:

• Working on a variety of equipment, as an Electro- Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for the proactive & reactive electro-mechanical maintenance, service/repair to AC/DC motors, gearboxes and pumps. 
• You will be proactive whilst working both in the workshop and out on customers’ sites
• Servicing of water pumps and installing pressurised water systems
• Trouble shooting failures on site with domestic or industrial pumps and electric motors
• Predictive Maintenance - Vibration Analysis and Thermography

 

Qualifications/experience required

Expectations / experience:

• You will have experience within a machining environment using millers, lathes and bench tools.
• Be experienced in winding copper on AC/DC motors
• Experience of factory work would be beneficial for removal and installation of electro mechanical equipment
• MIG, TIG, welding, MMA and Brazing
• You will have a good mechanical application and experience / working understanding with hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• You will have good clear communication skills
• It is expected that you will have good IT skills with MS Office & Word
