- This position will suit an experienced Sales Manager or Sales Director with demonstrable experience and track record within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing.
- The role will suit a senior technical sales professional with experience in driving profitable growth through effective customer account management and new client acquisition
- The successful Head of Sales candidate will focus on driving sustainable revenue growth for the business through a strong focus on new business development alongside maintaining and maximising a designated portfolio of existing customer accounts
Role responsibilities
- In the role of Head of Sales, you will identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking and industry engagement
- As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for developing and executing a structured sales strategy focused on winning new customers within target market sectors
- Build and manage a robust sales pipeline to support short, medium and long-term business growth
- Lead complex high-value sales discussions from initial enquiry, utilising technical expertise to build a relationship with the customer
- Manage and grow a defined list of key existing accounts, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, retention and account expansion
- Identify opportunities to increase account value through cross-selling, upselling and long-term supply agreements
- Act as the senior point of contact for strategic customers, resolving issues and strengthening long-term partnerships
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions and customer meetings to enhance market presence and brand awareness
- Provide regular sales performance reporting to the Managing Director and board
- Set sales targets, forecasts and KPI’s aligned with overall business objectives
- Ensure sales activity aligns with operational capacity and commercial priorities

Qualifications/experience required
- 15+ years of B2B sales experience within injection moulding, tooling, plastics manufacturing or related engineering sector
- Demonstrable experience selling into highly regulated market sectors
- Experience in selling process capability, risk and quality
- Track record of turning inbound enquiries into structured opportunities
- Ability to operate autonomously and credibly at the board and procurement level
- Demonstrable success in new business development, winning and growing high-value accounts
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to sell complex engineered solutions
- Ability to manage long-term customer relationships in a technical manufacturing setting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience navigating multi-stakeholder decision-making
