SERVICES OFFERED
Materials Handling Solutions: To accompany our pipe work installation we manufacture a wide range of material handling equipment, including:
Stainless steel day bins
Ancillary equipment
Bag support frames
Manifold tables
Angel hair traps
Vacuum & Virgin Regrind Pipework: One of our main specialities is the installation of virgin and regrind material pipes. Direct Engineering have installed pipework of this type to facilitate polymer transfer from both external and internal silos to individual machine positions for both vacuum and blown conveying systems.
Our virgin and regrind pipework services cover the manufacture and installation of pipework in aluminium and stainless steel, and also includes all associated bracketry. We are one of the UK’s leading installers of pipework to convey various granular type polymers feeding to hopper loaders on injection moulding and extrusion systems.
Chiller Pipework: As part of our engineering services, we install carbon, plastic, and stainless steel pipe work for circulation of chilled water in a host of settings.
Installing a new centralised water cooling system which has been specially designed to meet your processing needs could dramatically increase your manufacturing output along with your product quality, all while showing a reduction in operating and raw material costs.
We also offer design and powder coating services to suit your requirements.
SPECIALIST AREAS
Direct Engineering have three excellent teams of site engineers who perform pipe installations throughout the UK and Europe. Typical uses include plastic extrusion lines, blown and vacuum plastic material conveying, and pipeline systems for chilled water and compressed air.
We have over 15 years’ experience in pipe installation and our teams hold the following qualifications: CCNSG Safety Passport, CITB Site Safety Plus, CITB Health & Safety Pipework, IPAF Power Access Licence
As a pipework installation company we have been involved in the design and installation of some of the largest piping systems in blue chip companies, both in the UK and mainland Europe.
Our team work closely to all customer requirements, assisting in the design process and advising on the best possible routes to run the material lines. We now offer an annual inspection service agreement on installed pipework to measure levels of wear and prevent downtime in the manufacturing process.
