MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: | We are a happy, positive-natured company that works closely as a team and we are looking for a senior addition to our Toolmaking workforce. The Toolmaker Fitter/Foreman will be involved in all aspects of Toolmaking. As an apprentice-trained and time-served Toolmaker, you will be expected to work competently and be accustomed to producing work to tight tolerances and high standards. You will be joining the business at an exciting time. Faulkner Moulds are a growing business and twice winners of the UK Toolmaker of the Year Award (2018 and 2016). We are looking for someone who will share the responsibility of organising and overseeing jobs, support the training of our apprentices and take a lead role in the assembly/fitting of tooling. Training and support will be given as required to candidates with the right attitude and approach to their work. We offer a generous rate of pay to the right candidate. Duties include: Help Works Manager organise and oversee jobs and team. New tools: toolmaking, fitting and bench work. Building of new tools and bedding off. Modifications/repair to customers’ older tools. Working with and helping to train Apprentices. |
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: | Qualifications/experience required: Apprentice-trained and experienced as a Toolmaker. Foreman/leadership experience an advantage. Current fitting skills and experience are essential. CNC machining knowledge an advantage. Pride in your work and strict attention to detail. Wire erosion experience an advantage. CNC spark erosion an advantage. Able to use CAD-CAM software – SolidWorks and SolidCAM an advantage. Willingness to embrace new technologies and different Toolmaking techniques as required. Full training for these will be given as needed. Positive, helpful and respectful attitude, with solid teamworking values. Operate in a clean, tidy, safe and diligent manner.
