Tooling / Process Engineer

28+ years’ experience in the Automotive injection moulding industry, including last 11 years specialising in tooling as a Process & Tooling Engineer. Expertise in DFM, Moldflow, 2D/3D Tool Design Reviews, through to international tool trials (UK, Germany & China), and sign-off and production launch in UK. Previous role of Process Engineer, in charge of improving moulding processes, tooling acquisition, and machinery specifications, while representing a UK automotive Tier 1 supplier on global engineering project sharing. Worked extensively with Engel, Demag, and Krauss Maffei control systems in the UK and Haitian in China. Experienced in AutoCAD, VISI CAD, Siemens NX, Excel, Word and Powerpoint. Other previous roles included managing shift technicians and overseeing breakdowns, OEE reporting, scrap/KPI tracking, and mentoring engineering apprentices.
