The Maintenance Engineer role is critical to the reliability and performance of our plant, and we are looking for a motivated individual to join our team in Northampton.
The successful candidate will work on the following rotating Monday - Friday shift pattern:
05:00 – 13:00 Mon-Thurs, 05:00- 12:00 Friday / PM 13:00 – 21:00 Mon-Thurs, 12:00 -19:00 Friday
*39 hours per week

Role responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical faults that occur on the equipment and plant
- Ensure the equipment and plant are in good, safe working order
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping for repairs and servicing (use of internal computer system – CORIM)
- Communicate, team work and handover the progress on assigned tasks with members of the Maintenance Team
- Communicate with and work with leaders of the other departments
- Communicate and work with outsourced contractors to ensure equipment and machinery are safe and in good condition to use
- Ensures repairs are performed in a “right first time” mind-set and followed until full completion and validation
- Follow 5S aspects around the workplace: maintenance workshop, machines and plant

Qualifications/experience required
- Qualified with BS7671 18th Edition City and Guild 2382
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise
- Multi-skilled in Electrics, Hydraulics and Mechanics
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Electrics, Hydraulics and Mechanics
- Confident with reading and interpreting technical drawings (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical)
- Knowledge of injection moulding machines is desired
- Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Strong team working
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Experience in Injection Moulding Maintenance is desired
- Can consider a trained apprentice or a formally qualified graduate mechanical or electrical engineer
