Working exclusively with our client, an established and expanding injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a skilled Maintenance Manager to lead their Maintenance Department.

Company overview

  • This position will suit a Senior / Lead Maintenance Engineer with good people skills looking to progress into a leadership role
  • Candidates MUST HAVE prior maintenance experience within injection moulding machinery and ancillary equipment
  • A fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to take ownership of the Maintenance Department of a progressive manufacturing company who continue to invest in new equipment and technologies

Role responsibilities

  • In the role of Maintenance Manager, you will oversee all maintenance activities for injection moulding machinery, robots and ancillary equipment on-site
  • This Maintenance Manager position is a hands on leadership role responsible for minimising downtime and developing a preventative maintenance culture across the plant
  • As Maintenance Manager, you will lead the Maintenance Team towards TPM, ensuring continuous and safe running to reduce incidents and breakdowns
  • Communicating directly with IM machinery and ancillary equipment suppliers where required to ensure swift response
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs
  • Lead breakdown response and technical troubleshooting of equipment issues
  • Lead all maintenance operations for injection moulding machinery, robots and ancillary equipment
  • Play an active role in the commissioning and installation of new equipment
  • Develop and mentor the Maintenance Engineers within the team
  • Plan and control maintenance budgets, spares and critical inventory

Qualifications/experience required

  • Previous experience within injection moulding maintenance is essential
  • Good leadership and communication skills at all levels
  • A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls
  • Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent
  • Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills
  • Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Experience of reactive maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
