Job overview

Working as a field service engineer, you will be our representative for the safe installation, technical support and training for our range of products for the plastic injection moulding industry.

The successful Service Engineer will support customers throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland, with all aspects of injection moulding machine service, repair, processing support as well as supporting our other products in the market.

We are a leading technical specialist, knowledge based reseller and service provider for a select group of innovative OEMs within the plastics industry. We have proudly represented the Ferromat Milacron brand of injection machinery in the UK and Ireland since the late 1950s, early 1960s. Since then we have expanded our portfolio to include ancillaries, automation systems as well as a range of products aimed specifically at improving the moulding process within the tooling.

Role responsibilities

  • Equipment installation, start-up, commissioning and training
  • Maintenance of equipment at customers’ premises
  • Service administration tasks
  • Regular travel during the working week, covering throughout the UK and occasionally Ireland including staying away from home at short notice
  • Delivering training and instruction on our range of products to customers

Qualifications/experience required

  • A strong knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding machines and automation
  • Has a good working knowledge of Mechanics, Hydraulics and Electrics (electrical qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary)
  • Will show resourcefulness, good organisational and time management skills
  • Should be methodical, with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
