- This position will suit a Thermoforming Setter with demonstrable experience of setting, conditioning and process optimisation of thermoforming machines
- This role requires good technical knowledge of thermoforming processes and the ability to troubleshoot any issues as they arise
Role responsibilities
- As a Thermoforming Setter, you will be responsible for the setup and running of the tooling on the thermoforming machine lines and ancillary equipment
- In the role of Thermoforming Setter, you will ensure the continuous running of machinery at the optimum cycle time to produce quality products
- Set tooling and production changeovers in line with the production plan and within targets
- Assist with the pre-production tool inspections & routine tooling maintenance
- Identify production, tool & machine issues that may impact performance, including product quality defects, and then make recommendations to rectify the same
- After training, commission new tooling and optimise line speeds
- Provide training and guidance to ensure that all employees understand their roles and perform them effectively
- Maintain documentation of quality records and production metrics
- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, including Maintenance, Tooling, Shift Managers / Supervisors and other departments

Qualifications/experience required
- MUST HAVE proven experience in thermoforming with at least 3 years’ experience setting tooling
- Strong technical knowledge of thermoforming processes and equipment
- Experience within FMCG manufacturing environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
- Experience of quality management system BRC / ISO or similar
- Lean manufacturing experience
