- This position will suit an experienced CAD/CAM Designer with demonstrable experience in 3D modelling and product/tool design within a manufacturing environment
- This role requires strong technical design capability, the ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions, and a willingness to engage directly with customers when required
Role responsibilities
- Design and develop products and associated tooling to support new and existing business
- Produce detailed 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using Fusion, SolidWorks or SolidCAM
- Develop tooling concepts from initial brief through to production-ready designs
- Generate and support CAM data where required for manufacturing processes
- Work closely with production and commercial teams to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective
- Attend customer meetings and occasionally travel to customer sites for project discussions and technical support
- Support continuous improvement and modification of existing tools and products

Qualifications/experience required
- Strong experience in 3D modelling within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Fusion, SolidWorks or SolidCAM (experience in at least one is essential)
- Experience designing products and/or tooling
- Good understanding of CAD/CAM principles and manufacturing processes
- Background does not need to be within thermoforming or plastics, but relevant design experience is essential
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise directly with customers when required
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience within FMCG manufacturing environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
