Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, 

Company overview

  • Seeking a Mouldshop Team Leader, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to lead the company’s busy manufacturing department. You will be required to take ownership of the day-to-day moulding operations, ensuring quality, efficiency and continuous improvement across the shop floor
  • The successful candidate will have proven leadership experience within an injection moulding or plastics manufacturing environment, with strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling & materials

Role responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the injection moulding team, ensuring targets for quality, output, and efficiency are consistently met
  • Oversee production scheduling, resource planning, and machine utilisation
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve processes, and enhance productivity
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Provide technical expertise in tooling, mould changes, material selection, and troubleshooting
  • Provide hands-on and technical expertise in process engineering
  • Develop, train, and mentor team members to achieve operational excellence
  • Work closely with other departments (Technical, Quality, Operations) to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications/experience required

  • Proven leadership experience within an injection moulding or plastics manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling, and materials
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to technical challenges
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and people management skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
