Role responsibilities
- As Design Engineer you will design and develop in-house products from concept to production
- In the role of Design Engineer, you will be responsible for optimising customer-supplied designs using DFM principles
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models and 2D technical
- Collaborate with tooling, production and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Communicate technical recommendations clearly
- Maintain design documentation and drawing office database
- Take part in design reviews and improvement initiatives

Qualifications/experience required
- HND/Degree in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred; training provided for similar packages)
- Industry or placement experience in design/engineering
- Knowledge of mechanical design and DFM principles
- Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
- Experience and appreciation of injection moulding an advantage
- Understanding of materials and processes for volume manufacturing
- Awareness of CADCAM, prototyping or CNC tooling
