Working alongside our client, a successful injection moulding manufacturer, as part of their growth plan we are looking for an Injection Moulding Shift Supervisor to join their team.

Role responsibilities
- To manage shift production in line with the production plan
- To lead and coordinate all shift personnel to ensure efficient press utilisation
- To deliver shift KPIs, including cycle time, tool change efficiency and scrap targets
- Maintain scrap levels within agreed limits and promote right-first-time manufacture
- Ensure Health & Safety standards and PPE compliance are always met
- To maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure spills or leaks are dealt with immediately
- Prioritise and allocate work fairly across machines and operators
- Ensure correct documentation, packaging and labelling are available at each machine
- To oversee barcode and labelling systems and escalate issues where required
- To support operator training, performance management and conduct issues in line with procedures
- Identify and report tooling, machine and process faults
- Optimise machines, layouts and robot movements to achieve target cycle times
- To assist with tool changes, machine start-ups and fault finding as required
- Attend machines in alarm state and safely return them to production
- Conduct effective shift handovers, ensuring safe, clean and organised work areas
- Provide shift and holiday cover as required to support operational continuity
- To always act professionally and carry out reasonable tasks to support the business

Qualifications/experience required
- Proven experience in a supervisory or senior operational role within a manufacturing or injection moulding environment
- Demonstrable experience managing shift-based production teams, including operators, setters, material handlers, tool slingers and lead operators
- Strong background in production planning and execution, working to daily schedules and systems such as Mattec or similar MES
- Hands-on experience driving KPIs, including cycle time adherence, scrap reduction, tool change efficiency and labour utilisation
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety requirements, housekeeping standards and safe systems of work in a factory environment
- Experience with people management, including training, performance management, absence management and disciplinary processes
- Working knowledge of quality systems, right-first-time manufacturing and continuous improvement to reduce defects and scrap
- Practical experience supporting tool changes, machine start-ups, fault finding and press recovery from alarms
- Experience optimising machine performance, layouts, robot movements and process parameters to improve efficiency
- Confident in shift handovers, prioritising workloads and maintaining production continuity across a three-shift rotation
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with colleagues at all levels, including technicians and management
