Role responsibilities
- As Maintenance Engineer, you will perform the day-to-day mechanical and electrical maintenance of plant equipment, including injection moulding machinery and associated ancillary equipment, ensuring continuity of production, consistent with the company’s goals and needs
- In the role of Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for fault-finding and repairing electrical/mechanical faults that occur on plant machinery and equipment
- Assist with the maintenance programme for all plant and/or equipment (hydraulics, robots, ancillary machines, automatic assembly)
- Validate new plant equipment, automation and upgrades
- Process/equipment troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Ensure all items of plant and/or equipment are in good, safe working order
- Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment
- Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System

Qualifications/experience required
- Demonstrable maintenance experience within injection moulding or other plastics manufacturing disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical engineering/maintenance
- A good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls
- Qualified electrician with 16th/17th/18th Edition regulations or equivalent
- Logic fault-finding & problem-solving skills
- Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Experience of reactive maintenance
- Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment
- You will be a focused team player with a strong character with the aim of further improving the department
