Role responsibilities
- As Production Shift Manager, you will lead and support the production shift team, including operators, material handlers, tool fitters, and machine setters.
- ensure KPI targets for Quality, efficiency, cost and service are consistently achieved.
- Maintain quality standards, training requirements, and good shopfloor discipline.
- Work closely with other departments to help keep the business running smoothly.
- Train, coach, and support team members in their day-to-day roles.
- Establish good working relationships with quality, sales, technical, finance and other key members of the business.
- Promote and continuously improve best-practice manufacturing processes and working methods
- Report and escalate Health & Safety and HR issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications/experience required
- Excellent practical understanding of production shift management, shopfloor control, and compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), and quality standards.
- Possess a good technical understanding of injection moulding processes.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a production shift management role within a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of applying Lean manufacturing principles, visual management, and continuous improvement.
- ONC/HNC qualification in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with strong computer literacy and the ability to use production management systems effectively.
