Working with our client, a successful injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Extrusion Setter to join their established team.

- As an Extrusion Setter, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the production line, ensuring the machinery is in good order and correct settings have been set for the product.

Role responsibilities
- Strip, clean and rebuild the machinery and perform start-up processes.
- To ensure minimal downtime by monitoring the line and trouble-shooting/solving any issues
- Where problems are more complex, to alert site management and work with them to resolve the issue (which may include external resources)
- To oversee monitoring and loading of new material, identifying the correct mix of materials for product
- Continuously monitor product quality, adjusting processes and/or material mix to ensure quality thresholds are maintained.
- To oversee the work of Operators, providing support and instruction where needed
- To work within guidelines and maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
- To cover for colleagues and support the wider team as needed.

Qualifications/experience required
- The ability/skill to run a production line from start to finish, including day-to-day maintenance of the machinery, including the following technical skills: line setting LLDPE, including coilers; Zumbach setting, PB rewind setting, printing setup
- The ability/skill to be able to learn additional operating procedures, such as BPEX line setting and BPB, including coiler, Printing cartridge changes, and ink nozzle alignment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve faults alongside strong problem-solving skills
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong understanding of production quality standards
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to support and train colleagues
- Ability to take full responsibility for the production line from start to finish
