Role responsibilities
- The successful candidate will carry out safe and efficient mould tool changes and machine set-ups.
- Optimise cycle times, quality and productivity while minimising downtime.
- Troubleshoot mould, machine and process issues effectively.
- Monitor production performance and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Ensure production meets customer quality standards and documentation requirements.
- Complete tool changes in line with production priorities.
- Work closely with Maintenance, Quality and Production teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the production process.
- Lead and support the night shift team of six operators.
- Allocate staffing effectively to meet production requirements.
- Promote teamwork, communication, accountability and safe working practices.
- Monitor performance and support training, development and onboarding.
- Manage immediate operational, welfare and safety issues, escalating where appropriate.
- Report any HR, disciplinary, attendance or welfare concerns to the Production Manager.
- Support the onboarding and training of new employees when required.

Qualifications/experience required
- Previous experience working as an Injection Moulding Setter or Technician
- Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, machine setting and fault-finding.
- Proven experience carrying out mould tool changes safely and efficiently.
- Good communication, organisation and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and make effective decisions during night shift operations
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience desired but not essential.
- Proactive, practical and hands-on approach to identifying and resolving problems.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems.
