Working alongside our client, an established manufacturer of custom moulded components, we are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team and support continued business growth.

- The Quality Engineers main goal is to ensure that the companies’ processes are robust focusing on process inputs to assure the process output and therefore eliminating non-confirming product manufacture.
- Candidates MUST HAVE experience within all aspects of Quality ( QE, QS, QC, QI and QA ) within a manufacturing environment.
- This role will suit a hands on Quality Engineer, Quality Leader or Manager looking to secure a fantastic opportunity with a forward-thinking company.
Role responsibilities
- The role of Quality Engineer is to oversee all quality functions across the plant including quality control, quality engineering, quality systems & quality inspection.
- Ensure consistent quality throughout the production process.
- Manage and maintain top level standards of ISO9001
- Ensure 8D’s are completed in a timely manner in line with customer expectations
- Manage quality concerns, facilitating root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Promote and support continuous improvement activities
- Build and maintain customer relations
- Customer and supplier quality (one-to-one) monitoring, support and co-ordination including customer audits (physical and electronic).
- Ensure consistent quality throughout the production process.
- Coordinating staff training on quality control measures and methods of improvement.
- To attend Quality Meetings as required (on site and at customers)
- There are basic measurement duties progressing into the use of the rheometer and other electronic measuring equipment.
Qualifications/experience required
- Must have prior quality experience within the manufacturing industry, knowledge of plastics injection moulding & rubber would be highly beneficial but not essential
- Must have knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- ISO9001 internal auditor trained advantageous.
- Health and safety and environmental management experience would be an advantage. If there is no experience the expectation would be the quality person would develop into the management of.
- Good knowledge and use of computer software, i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint,
- Excellent communication skills
- Punctuality and time management skills
- Professionalism and a positive attitude
- Full valid driving license as will be required to travel within the UK.
