Working alongside our client, an established and expanding manufacturing business, we are looking for a Quality Manager to lead their Quality Department.

Company overview

  • Fantastic opportunity for a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer to join a forward thinking and upwardly mobile business
  • This position will suit an experienced Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer with supervisory experience looking to progress into a QM position
  • The successful Quality Manager will provide support to the internal functions of manufacturing, product engineering and quality management within the business

Role responsibilities

  • As Quality Manager, you will have responsibility and authority to ensure customer specific requirements are addressed and implemented
  • In the role of Quality Manager, you will set quality objectives aligned with the requirements of customers and the company
  • To review the customer score cards and set the action plan for improving customer satisfaction
  • Responsibility and Authority to stop shipments for quality issues
  • Management of the quality management system in accordance with IATF 16494 and ISO14001
  • Responsible for maintaining and auditing procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the quality of products in accordance with the IATF 16949 and customer standards
  • Support with the preparation and submission of Part Approval documentation (PPAP) to customers
  • Supporting the investigation and resolution of customer quality and build concerns
  • Supporting the investigation and resolution of internal quality and build concerns
  • Management of calibration process for metrology equipment
  • Other tasks deemed appropriate but not specifically detailed above

Qualifications/experience required

  • Previous experience in quality management within automotive manufacturing
  • Knowledge and experience of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Experience with quality inspection/measurement of parts against 2D drawings
  • Auditing skills and experience
  • Core quality management systems and tools
  • Self-motivated and well organised
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and external stakeholders
  • People management skills
  • Fundamental engineering knowledge
