Job overview

Working with our client, a leading supplier of specialist equipment and systems for the plastic industry, we are looking for a Technical Sales Support to join their team to support continued business growth.

  • This position will suit someone with a strong technical background within injection moulding and a good understanding of injection moulding machinery, tooling, processes and ancillary equipment

  • Extensive training will be provided both in the UK and European HQ and there is scope for the right person to progress into a technical sales position in the future

Role responsibilities

  • As Technical Sales Support you will provide customers with technical support providing advice and solutions
  • Providing installation, servicing and technical support from the office
  • Conducting customer visits to ensure customer satisfaction and support with any issues
  • Work closely with the GM and sales team to provide sales support and after care for customers
  • Handle incoming calls from customers with queries and spare part requests
  • Carrying out internal admin tasks to support the sales team such as dispatch documents, purchase orders and invoicing
  • The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working away from home occasionally

Qualifications/experience required

  • Proven experience within injection moulding manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding machinery, tooling, processes and ancillary equipment
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs
  • CAD experience an advantage but not essential
  • Good problem solving skills with ability to think outside of the box
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Technical, analytical approach with a practical skillset
