Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive continued business growth.

  • This position will suit an experienced Technical Sales or Business Development Manager with a background in injection moulding, polymers or a related manufacturing field
  • A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and self motivated sales professional with a proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • The successful Business Development Manager will identify and target new business opportunities, selling the injection moulding manufacturing capabilities of the business to prospective new clients.

Role responsibilities

  • In the role of Business Development Manager you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with current and prospective clients and increasing revenue through strategic sales within the injection moulding sector
  • As Business Development Manager you will build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction and repeat business
  • This role involves market research, lead generation, client engagement and coordination with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, quotes and presentations to prospective clients, clearly communicating technical capabilities and value proposition
  • Implement sales plans and strategies to meet agreed targets and contribute to the overall sales pipeline
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conclude signed contracts with key customers
  • Work with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure client requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Maintain CRM systems and provide regular updates on sales activities, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events to enhance brand visibility and develop contacts
  • Provide timely reports in support of business needs

Qualifications/experience required

  • Minimum 5 years of business development or technical sales experience, preferably within plastic injection moulding, polymers, or a related manufacturing field
  • Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling, materials, and manufacturing workflows
  • Track record of success in developing and implementing business development strategies
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills with a customer-first attitude
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing requirements
  • Solid grasp of pricing, cost structures, and profitability
  • Strong initiative and drive to achieve targets and work independently
  • Full UK driving licence
