- The successful Technical Sales Manager will play an integral role in growing UK sales, both through developing new business opportunities and managing existing accounts, adopting a technical, solution based sales approach
Role responsibilities
- In the role of Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by combining technical expertise and commercial acumen
- As Technical Sales Manager, you will engage with technical & engineering personnel of customers to present technical solutions and clear value propositions
- The successful Technical Sales Manager will lead the full sales lifecycle from opportunity identification through to sale close and after sales support
- Identify, qualify and pursue new business opportunities within the plastics industry
- Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, synergy partners and distributors
- Act as the technical point of contact during the sales process, clearly articulating the product solutions, performance and value
- Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations and customer workshops
- Work closely with customers to understand application requirements and recommend optimal solutions
- Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM reporting
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
Benefits/package
- + commission, realistic OTE £70-75K package

Qualifications/experience required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in technical sales within the plastics industry
- Experience managing key accounts and long-term customer relationships
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer pain points and requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Highly organised with effective time and pipeline management skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively in cross-functional teams
