Job overview

Reporting to the Head of Sales the role will identify, target and acquire new business from predominantly new customers within existing and alternative sectors.

TEP were founded in 1977 and provide a complete solution in the provision of thermoset (DCPD) and Thermoplastic components. Established across a broad range of market sectors and providing prototyping, tooling, moulding, finishing and assembly functions, TEP are able to offer manufacturing capability for a wide variety of components. Current customers include those within the automotive, agriculture, construction, off-road vehicle and medical sectors plus other associated markets.

Role responsibilities

The role will identify potential new customers/products within current manufacturing capability and then target them to secure business. The position will focus on domestic and European markets particularly, but not exclusively. Engagement will lead to support with NPI / associated departments and offer a level of post-introduction Account management. Will work closely with the Head of Sales to ensure all costings align with the defined costing process. Role will also identify business development which may require in-house investment to acquire new capability in both process and volume.

Qualifications/experience required

The successful candidate will demonstrate previous experience in a Sales/Business Development role within the plastics sector with experience in Injection moulding essential and the addition of thermoset highly advantageous. The candidate will be able to demonstrate competence in relation to tool design and associated component design along with a working knowledge of polymer selection. Expected to be able to undertake the preparation of commercial costings. A good knowledge of post moulding operations, particularly finishing (painting)  and medium-level assembly would also be advantageous.
