Working exclusively with our client, an established and expanding injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Business Development Manager to support further business growth.

Company overview

  • This position will suit an experienced Technical Sales or Business Development Manager with a background in injection moulding or other polymer processing disciplines
  • A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
  • The successful Business Development Manager will be joining a dynamic and forward-thinking business and will have an opportunity to become a member of their senior leadership team

Role responsibilities

  • As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities for the company’s injection moulding manufacturing services
  • In the role of Business Development Manager, you will build strong business relationships with prospective customers across the target industry market sectors
  • Developing and maintaining a strong pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Generate leads through market research, networking, contact referrals and industry events
  • Managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through to contract award
  • Act as the main commercial contact for customers during quotation and project development stages
  • Understand customer requirements and coordinate with internal teams to develop solutions
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals and commercial offers
  • Lead commercial negotiations with customers
  • Ensure projects are commercially viable and aligned with company pricing strategies
  • Monitor market trends, competitors and emerging opportunities
  • Contribute to strategic sales planning for the business
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events

Qualifications/experience required

  • Proven experience in business development or technical sales within injection moulding or plastics manufacturing
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of plastic injection moulding processes and tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to win and develop new business
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications and manufacturing requirements
  • Knowledge of tooling development and product design for injection moulding is an advantage
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving ability
  • Full UK driving licence
