Working alongside our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial components, we are looking for a Toolroom Supervisor to join their team.
Role responsibilities
Remit:
- As a Toolroom Supervisor you will assist in the organisation and supervision in the manufacturing of high-quality tooling, parts and also the repairs of the moulds within the toolroom environment.
- This position will suit an experienced Toolmaker with experienced in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools including experience working with CNC toolroom machinery

Role:
- Provide regular updates to the manager of the toolroom
- Contribute to the manufacture of tooling the company requires
- Liaise with other department offering support and solutions
- Provide a stable and reliable environment for the toolmakers and apprentices to perform their duties
- Provide any reports the company may require for continual improvement
- Assist in the development of new machining techniques. Which may include training courses, supplier visits and attending exhibitions
- Ensure the team is up to date on current practices and techniques
- Follow all relevant health and safety requirements
- Provide relevant training for new toolmakers, machinists and apprentices

Qualifications/experience required
- Prior experience in an injection mould toolmaking environment
- Recognised engineering Qualification / Time Served Apprenticeship
- Competent in the use of CNC toolroom machinery
- Competent in the use of CAM (Computer aided machining)
- Experience in interpreting engineering drawings
- Enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude
- Understand the value of maintaining good relationships with colleagues
- Organised and self motivated
