Working alongside our client, a leading manufacturer of industrial components, we are looking for a Toolroom Supervisor to join their team.

Role responsibilities

Remit:                        

  • As a Toolroom Supervisor you will assist in the organisation and supervision in the manufacturing of high-quality tooling, parts and also the repairs of the moulds within the toolroom environment.
  • This position will suit an experienced Toolmaker with experienced in repairing and maintaining injection mould tools including experience working with CNC toolroom machinery

Role:

  • Provide regular updates to the manager of the toolroom
  • Contribute to the manufacture of tooling the company requires
  • Liaise with other department offering support and solutions
  • Provide a stable and reliable environment for the toolmakers and apprentices to perform their duties
  • Provide any reports the company may require for continual improvement
  • Assist in the development of new machining techniques. Which may include training courses, supplier visits and attending exhibitions
  • Ensure the team is up to date on current practices and techniques
  • Follow all relevant health and safety requirements
  • Provide relevant training for new toolmakers, machinists and apprentices

Qualifications/experience required

  • Prior experience in an injection mould toolmaking environment
  • Recognised engineering Qualification / Time Served Apprenticeship
  • Competent in the use of CNC toolroom machinery
  • Competent in the use of CAM (Computer aided machining)
  • Experience in interpreting engineering drawings
  • Enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude
  • Understand the value of maintaining good relationships with colleagues
  • Organised and self motivated
