Job overview

Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for an experienced Injection Mould Designer to join their established team.

Company overview

  • As an Injection Mould Designer you will be responsible for the design of injection mould tools, from single impression to multi cavity hot runner for the companies in house toolroom.
  • With a customer base comprising of medical, automotive, switchgear and packaging, successful candidates will have experience of all types of injection mould design and high precision mould tools.

Role responsibilities

  • Design and developed injection moulds and components with focus on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Produce detailed 3D and 2D designs using Creo (Pro/Engineer) and SolidWorks.
  • Conduct design reviews and apply DFM principles to optimize designs for production.
  • Manage projects from concept to production, ensuring timelines, quality, and budget targets are met.
  • Collaborate with customers to define requirements, present design solutions, and provide technical support.

Qualifications/experience required

  • Proven experience in injection mould design, ideally with a background in toolmaking
    Skilled in designing various high-precision mould tools, including complex and multi-cavity systems.
    Able to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
    Strong communicator and effective team player, collaborating across technical and customer-facing teams.
