Job overview
Reporting to the Technical Commercial Manager as part of the Sales/Projects team, the role will provide key support in the design and provision of new tooling, jigs and fixtures along with modifications to existing tooling.
In addition, the role will support the Sales team in establishing pricing for tooling and associated fixtures for both existing and new customers.
The role provides a key link in the management and coordination of subcontract engineering support, as well as liaising with Customers on DFM for new projects.

Additional processes include extensive painting/finishing capabilities across 4 further locations in Rochdale, together with detailed component assembly. Along with the full provision of prototypes and production tooling, TEP provides a full "one stop shop" for customers technical polymer products.
Role responsibilities
- Ability to design Jigs/Fixtures along with modifying tooling CAD.
- Customer DFM support on tooling for both new enquiries and changes to existing products.
- Support the Sales team with pricing for existing and new projects.
- Support the NPI team where required on relevant technical activities.
- Liaise with Customers and suppliers/contractors to provide up-to-date information to enable successful project implementation.
- Ensure all detailed and accurate specifications are available to assist in the development of relevant processes and procedures by Engineering/Production.
- Work with Production and QA Departments to drive process improvements for existing products.
- Liaise with other associated internal departments in respect of successful project administration.

Qualifications/experience required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tooling design
- Able to demonstrate capability in the reading/analysis of components and associated technical drawings.
- Able to demonstrate experience in the use of a relevant CAD package for thermoplastic (thermoset advantageous) design. The knowledge and experience of using POWERSHAPE would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Proficient in all associated Microsoft Packages.
- Ability to work to deadlines and work on initiative.
- Full UK driving licence.
