Chase Plastics is committed to the highest standards of quality and service in the supply of recycled polythene pellets and compounds. Our experience in both recycling and film manufacture provides a thorough understanding of our customers’ requirements.
We are a strategic supply partner to leading flexible and rigid packaging manufacturers, construction film and rigid products producers and major refuse sack manufacturers. We aim to provide standards of service and consistency comparable with the major producers of virgin polymers.
We are one of the country’s longest established manufacturers of recycled plastic pellets and are committed to recycling plastics in the United Kingdom. Our factory in Brandon, Suffolk has an annual capacity in excess of 10,000 tonnes, serving customers across the UK and Mainland Europe.
In 2020 we achieved EUCertPlast accreditation which recognises the highest standards of material traceability, quality and process control in plastics recycling. The scheme focuses on traceability of plastic materials (throughout the entire recycling process and supply chain) and on the quality of recycled content in the end-product.
The RECOTHENE™ range of recycled polythene is engineered to ensure the highest levels of processability and product quality as evidenced by our EUCertPlast accreditation. RECOTHENE™ is successfully used in both flexible and rigid packaging and non-packaging applications. RECOTHENE™ is available from both pre and post-consumer sources.
RECOTHENE™ recycled polythene is compatible with all extrusion machinery from mono lines with limited blending capability to advanced multi-layer co-extrusion machinery. We have a unique process which enables us to engineer our materials to suit the customers’ precise requirements. We have unrivalled access to a large network of industry specialists to augment our in-house technical resources. This enables us to offer technical and process management support to our customers as they introduce recycled content to their high performance applications.

Bespoke Solutions
Our technical team have achieved great success working with customers to deliver bespoke blends for specialist applications. We are able to support customers with material development and regularly attend manufacturing trials. We have extensive film extrusion expertise across all film and machinery specifications.
Service Recycling and Compounding
Chase Plastics provides 'toll' or service recycling and compounding for customers who require their own material to be processed. We operate an efficient collection and return service with a full audit trail.
Due to our long experience in the industry we have worked with many materials and are able to minimise yield loss. We have a number of vented compounding extruders with melt filtration, enabling us to blend materials and also de-gas and rectify customers’ poor quality pellets.
Recycling Consultancy
Many companies are keen to ensure their plastic waste is being handled responsibly. The recent publicity of plastic waste finding its way into the oceans has highlighted the dangers of allowing plastic waste to be exported and companies cannot afford to be associated with this unacceptable practice.
All of the waste bought by Chase Plastics is recycled in the United Kingdom into high quality raw materials.
We work with companies who have plastic waste arising in their operations, for example bottling plants, distribution centres and contract packing operations, to improve their management of this waste. When the waste plastic is effectively segregated at source and stored in a suitable manner its value is maximised and the customer has absolute assurance the material is being recycled in the UK by an EUCertPlast accredited company.
We are able to access a large network of industry specialists to augment our in house resources and support customers in meeting their environmental and recycling objectives.

Key to running a highly efficient extrusion or moulding operation is a reliable supply of highly consistent feedstock. Chase Plastics are ideally suited to overcome the inherent inconsistency in recycled materials.
Providing Solutions to the Plastic Tax
In 2022 the United Kingdom Government introduced a tax on plastic packaging with less than 30% post consumer recycled content. The UK Plastics Pact also sets an objective for packaging to contain at least 30% post consumer content. Chase Plastics are ideally placed to enable its customers to meet these objectives. Customers are already achieving superb results by introducing RECOTHENE™ recycled polythene into high performance packaging applications, at addition rates in excess of 30%. Our customers’ also benefit from the added assurance that all of our products are EuCertPlast accredited, ensuring the highest standards of material traceability.
