PAINTING Taylor Technical Coatings have invested heavily over recent years in state of the art painting facilities. In conjunction with partners such as ABB, Junair and Sedco, the latest equipment has been installed to provide Taylor Technical Coatings with the technology to support its clients current high spec requirements and ongoing future industry demands: • Two 15m x 6m clean room preparation booths • Six dry back manual spray booths • 10m x 5m dry back spray booth incorporating a 76 station manual paint track • Three 9m x 5m Quad controlled downdraught spraybake booths • 10m x 5m dry back spray booth with dual oven facility Taylor Technical Coatings’s latest investment sees the introduction of a 56 station closed loop automated paint line. ABB supplied its latest IRB 580 paint robot which was interfaced with Sedco’s state of the art ITW Dynaflow paint delivery system allowing Taylor Technical Coatings to accurately mix and dispense paint to the highest tolerances, ensuring that every product painted meets the exacting requirements and standards of the customer. • ABB IRB 580 paint robot with dual cobra guns • 5 x5 x5 High output junair spraybooth with automated de-ionising cell • ITW Dynaflow paint delivery system incorporating 2 wet panels and 2k mixing POST PAINTING We carry out post-coating added value work, such as detailed assembly, and our customers can be confident in TTC fulfilling their component specifications, no matter how stringent and complex. We also provide a part printing service. • Screen printing • Pad printing


A key factor in TTC’s approach is for it to focus on a range of product types, sizes of product and markets supported. Current Finishes include • Eggshell paint • Soft-feel paints • Spatter finish • Self textured paints • RFI/EMI shielding • High Gloss (including clear over base)


The project management team ensures new product Introduction (NPI) process gateways from enquiry to First production delivery are maintained. Employing multi-disciplined teams on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements to the required level, in accordance with Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) guidelines. The QMS has been developed to reflect our business development plans and the requirements of TS/16949 while the application of Lean/ Six sigma methodology underpins our continuous improvement and development activities throughout the business.
