For 65 years we have been a trusted supplier of precision injection moulded products. We offer a full range of services from design, 3D printing, toolroom, electrofusion, machining, assembly, and warehousing. We have over 30 moulding machines on-site ranging from 50T to 1700T serving all sectors.
With decades of large part moulding experience, we routinely custom manufacture complex large injection moulded parts requiring precision, functionality and aesthetic qualities. We have particular expertise in thick section mouldings; in some cases, in excess of 100mm. Rutland Plastics offers gas-assisted injection moulding – a technology offering opportunities to reduce costs and improve the appearance of finished products.
We have the medical standard ISO13485 covering clean environment, non-sterile injection and flow moulded thermoplastic components for medical devices. This also includes the machining, finishing and sub-assembly of mouldings to customer requirements.
Here at Rutland Plastics, we work in partnership from initial concept, through the injection moulding design stage using 3D CAD and Moldex3D to the making of the injection mould tool. All through that process, we share our expertise with customers and together we optimise the choice of plastic material, physical shape, ease of production, cost and performance.
Plastic injection mouldings often need to be machined or assembled with other components. We have the expertise, flexibility and facilities to add the finishing touches required. This includes sonic welding, machining, heat, staking, gluing and multi-component assembly.
We are experts at the electrofusion process and as result of our research and development, we have patented one of these electrofusion manufacturing processes opening up more opportunities for the simple and rapid method of joining plastics.
