In-house CNC machining, EDM spark erosion and manual toolroom facilities to support new tooling, modifications and repairs.
Aluminium or steel tooling for prototype through to high-volume production, including single and multi-cavity tools and bolster insert systems for interchangeable plates. Full in-house tool design and manufacture with capability for high-complexity, intricate detail and cavities up to 500 mm x 500 mm.
Expertise includes over-mould tooling, hot runner feed systems, steel cavities bedded into non-splitting areas, internal and external threads, internal undercuts and sliding, hydraulic or manual core systems.
A full range of tooling finishes is available, including texturing, engraving, graining, polishing and VDI surface finishes. EDM spark erosion enables high-precision detail on complex features.
Additional services include tool modification, tooling repairs and specialist support with reshoring projects from overseas or UK suppliers.
Comprehensive development support including in-house 3D printing for rapid prototyping, allowing early fit and function testing while tooling is in manufacture. Full CAD capability with in-house tool design and mould flow analysis to optimise part geometry, reduce risk and improve manufacturability.
Prototype tooling options are available for early-stage trials, supported by short-run moulding for validation, testing and pre-production requirements. Our development facilities allow customers to refine designs, evaluate performance and progress smoothly into full-scale production.
