That being said, the more relevant information you can include, especially in the skills/experience fields, the more likely an employer will read your profile and make contact with you.
First impressions matter, so give prospective employers a clear, punchy overview of your skills and experience. Copying details from your CV works, but summarising into a short and impactful overview is even better.
Consider including:
- Total years of experience in the plastics industry
- Your most recent role or responsibilities
- Relevant qualifications and extra training
- Specific machinery or equipment you’ve worked with
- Software or IT systems you can use
- Any additional skills, such as leadership or technical certifications

Employers: Find skilled people faster and cheaper
For companies, PlastikCity’s candidate listings offer direct access to skilled individuals who are already active in the plastics industry. When someone stands out, you can request more information through PlastikCity, and we’ll connect you directly with the candidate.
Just click ‘more detail’ when a profile stands out and read the full list of employment history and skills that the candidate has advertised. If you then want to make further contact, the ‘request contact’ button will take you to a short contact form with a message field – explain briefly why you’re interested and what the role entails, and it’ll be automatically sent to the candidate, who will then be in touch if interested.
We’ll then keep in touch with the employer and the potential employee throughout the discussions, supporting where necessary. Should the candidate be successful, we charge a flat 5% commission based on the candidate’s first 12-month OTE – this is a significantly lower percentage compared with traditional recruiters, which can range from 15-25% for certain roles!
